Matching Energy Not Potential

We’re talking matching energy not potential. When you always see the good in people it’s easy to overlook the warning signs. You have this vision of what you want, yet it becomes compromised when you begin to fall for their potential. When you start to hope for a different response.  When you wonder if they would reach out to know you’re a thought. The simple thought of wanting to know you’re wanted. The only thing this shows is they do not match your energy. You make excuses and try to and validate their behavior. Putting yourself in their position to justify their actions. It’s not a bad thing you see the good in everyone. In fact, the world needs more people like you. But when you constantly operate from this space that heart of yours tends to break a little more. So, to counterbalance this you give a little more of yourself. You give more because you think maybe they will see your heart too. Maybe their energy will match mine if I give just a little more. But my love, you are just being broken down a bit more in return. The truth is you shouldn’t have to ask for the bare minimum. For them to want to talk to you or spend time together. And by doing so you are asking them to become someone they are not. You are falling for their potential and envisioning the person they could be. And in that vision the only person you end up hurting is yourself. You need to start operating from a space of matching energies. You put in as much effort as they give you. Nothing more, nothing less. We all heard the saying if they wanted to, they would. And what follows is if they don’t someone else will. You can’t keep overlooking their behavior that screams they don’t want to. And it is also not your burden to figure out why. I see the love you have to give, and I find it courageous that after each heart break you find the will to try again. But wouldn’t it be so much better if your heart didn’t have to break anymore? You have been through a lot and that heart of yours needs protection. But the only one who can do that for you is you. So, I say this with love be cautious of the energy you put out. But don’t be afraid to love because someday someone will match your energy. Someday you won’t have to question their behavior because the little wishes you made at night are in the person who desires you.
